At Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Shala we strive to live by the values of simplicity, sustainability, spiritual awareness, service and community. It is our intention to provide you with a comfortable environment in which to give you the tools to create an effective and lasting approach to improvement and maintenance of the mind and body.
Our shala is just one room, it's open + light with lot's of plants and quality mats + props. Classes are small in size, maximum 10 people per class, so that we can create a more personal environment.
Based on the teachings of Krishnamacharya we aspire to teach what is appropriate for the individual. We teach with respect to the teachings and tradition as well as with respect to the physical body, mindset and capabilities of the student. We believe a healthy asana practice is a balance between flexibility, alignment and strength, your asana practice should make your mind clear and stable, and your body clean and healthy.
Ashtanga Yoga Mysore classes guided by Mark Ladanovski and Jessica Ludäscher, both dedicated and long term Ashtanga Yoga practitioners.
Mark is a true teacher and philosopher at heart who wholeheartedly believes in all his students. Mark has the skills and knowledge essential for the correct and professional instruction of yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and philosophy. He has a rich experience in the yoga practice itself and in the teachings of Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa (Krama) and the Ashtanga primary and intermediate series. Besides studying Yoga for several years, Mark completed his BA in Philosophy and is currently studying Sanskrit. “One Breath, One Movement and the rest will come.” [owner & teacher E-RYT 500, YACEP]
Yoga and spirituality has been a theme throughout Jessica’s childhood and naturally she found her way back to the Yoga practice upon moving to The Netherlands. She teaches from her own experience and considers her daily practice to be one of her greatest teachers. Inspired by the principles of Ayurveda, Jessica’s classes reflect largely upon balance and being mindful in your daily practice, as well as understanding and discipline; themes that have run constant in her life, as well as her practice. “Yoga is the ability to direct [or discipline] the mind without distraction, I find that the easiest way for me to do that is by connecting to my body.” [owner & teacher]
